Why Am I Still Numb After My Root Canal?

It’s normal for the numbness from your local anesthetic to last for several hours after your appointment. The exact amount of time varies from person to person.

Until the numbness wears off, avoid chewing so you don’t accidentally bite your cheek, lip, or tongue.

If the numbness lasts much longer than expected or you’re concerned about how you’re feeling, give us a call. We’ll be happy to answer your questions and determine whether anything else needs to be evaluated.
