Many extractions can be safely performed in our office. However, some teeth are more complex because of their position, the shape of the roots, proximity to important nerves, or other factors.
When we believe a case would benefit from the additional training, equipment, or sedation options available through an oral surgeon, we’ll recommend a referral.
Referring you isn’t because we don’t want to treat you—it’s because we want you to receive the safest, most predictable care possible. We’ll explain exactly why we’re recommending a referral and continue working with your oral surgeon as part of your treatment team.
