The best answer is to avoid smoking or vaping for as long as possible after your extraction.
Smoking and vaping can slow healing, increase your risk of infection, and significantly increase the chance of developing a dry socket. The first few days after your extraction are especially important because your body is working to protect the area with a healthy blood clot.
If quitting isn’t possible, even delaying smoking or vaping for several days can improve your healing.
