Many adults are good candidates for dental implants, but the only way to know for sure is with a comprehensive examination.
We’ll evaluate your overall health, the condition of your gums, and the amount of bone available to support an implant. To help us do that, we may recommend a CBCT scan, which is a three-dimensional X-ray that gives us a detailed view of your jawbone, nearby nerves, and surrounding structures. This allows us to determine whether you have enough bone for an implant, identify the ideal placement, and see if additional treatment, such as a bone graft, may be recommended.
Many patients are surprised to learn they have more treatment options than they expected. After reviewing your exam and CBCT scan, we’ll explain your options, answer your questions, and help you decide what’s best for your smile.
