Sensitivity caused by whitening treatments or minor gum irritation often improves on its own. Sensitivity caused by a cavity, cracked tooth, or failing filling usually does not.
If one tooth has become increasingly sensitive or the pain lingers after eating or drinking, don’t assume it’ll resolve by itself.
We’ll determine whether it’s simple sensitivity or a sign that the tooth needs treatment.
