A temporary crown protects your tooth while your permanent crown is being made by the dental laboratory.
Temporary crowns aren’t designed to last for long periods of time, so it’s important to avoid very sticky foods and chewing hard foods on that side whenever possible.
If your temporary crown comes off before your next appointment, give us a call. In many cases it can be recemented until your permanent crown is ready.
Most patients wear a temporary crown for about two to three weeks.
