Why Do My Dentures Hurt?

It’s common to experience sore spots when you’re adjusting to new dentures. Small pressure points can develop as your gums heal and adapt, especially during the first few weeks.

The good news is that these sore spots can often be relieved with a simple adjustment. Don’t try to adjust your dentures yourself, and don’t stop wearing them right before your appointment unless we’ve instructed you to do so. Wearing them for a few hours before your visit helps us see exactly where they’re rubbing.

Our goal is to make your dentures as comfortable as possible, and sometimes a small adjustment makes a big difference.
