Healing is different for every patient, but most bone grafts take several months to fully integrate with your natural bone before an implant is placed.
During the healing process, we’ll monitor your progress and let you know when the area is ready for the next step. In some cases, additional imaging, such as a CBCT scan, helps us confirm the bone has healed properly before moving forward.
Healing takes time, but allowing the graft to mature gives your implant the best chance for long-term success.
