Some patients never need denture adhesive, while others prefer using it for extra confidence, especially with a lower denture.
A properly fitting denture should provide a good foundation before adhesive is considered. If your dentures feel loose because they’ve become worn or your mouth has changed, adding more adhesive usually isn’t the best long-term solution.
